The 4th of July weekend is here! It’s that time of year to enjoy the fun and warm weather while spending time with friends and family.  It’s a great time be outside, whether it’s to BBQ, picnic or just to see the fireworks.

This year there are several options of where you go to see fireworks and enjoy some fun and patriotic activities.  Union County has many options and events are happening all weekend long!

Here’s a list of several events for this holiday weekend.

July 1

Roselle Park

Location: Herm Shaw Field

There will be food trucks, live music and more beginning at 5:00 pm. Fireworks begin at 9:00 pm.

July 2

Cranford

Location: Nomahegan Park 

There will be food vendors and other activities at the park beginning at 5:00 pm.  Fireworks begin at 9:15 pm.

 

Scotch Plains

Location: Scotch Hills Golf Course

There will be food vendors and pre-show entertainment starting at 7:00 pm.  Fireworks being at 9:00 pm.

(The Scotch Plains Event has been postponed until July 3rd.)

 

July 3

Rahway

Location: Rahway River Park

There will be food vendors, games and more starting at 5:00 pm.  Fireworks begin at dusk.

 

New Providence

Location: Near South Street

There are no planned pre-fireworks events or activities.  Fireworks begin at 9:30 pm.

 

July 4

Clark

Location: The Municipal Building

There will be a DJ, food and other activities beginning at 7:30 pm.  Fireworks begin at 9:00 pm.

Summit

Location: Myrtle Avenue

There will be food and entertainment beginning at noon.  Fireworks begin at 9:15pm.

 

Elizabeth

Location: Veterans Memorial Waterfront Park

There will be food trucks, photo booths, and entertainment starting at 2:00 pm.  Fireworks begin at dusk.

 

Union

Location: Biertuempfel Park

There will be a concert with the Silver Arrow Band starting at 7:30 pm.   Fireworks begin after the concert.
